Terms and Conditions

 

This agreement constitutes a contract between Casa de Paradise Vacation Rentals and the guest whether one or more when making the reservation or signature on this agreement or payment of money or taking possession of the property after receipt of the agreement is evidence of your acceptance of the agreement and your intent to use this property for a vacation rental.

TERMS: All rentals must be Paid in Full before check-in.  All payments are to be made in US currency.  Credit cards accepted: Visa, MasterCard, American Express.  A 50% deposit is required to make an on-line reservation and the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. An invoice for your balance will be e-mailed.  You can pay on-line from this invoice.

CANCELLATION: There is a no refunds due to cancellation, though we will allow a credit to be used for future booking of the same property if cancellation is made 30 days before arrival date; this must be used within six months of original reservation date and is subject to $100 administrative fee.   Cancellation less than 30 days forfeits entire rental.

OCCUPANCY: Each rental property lists the maximum occupancy and number of beds available. Please consider all members of your group when making reservations, including children.  In cases of unauthorized number of persons, we reserve the right to ask for immediate decrease in occupancy to continue the stay or to have the property vacated with no refund.

​

REGISTERED GUESTS: Only registered guests are allowed in the property for security reasons and your own safety. Outside visitors can be permitted prior to arrangements with the on site Manager.

​

RENTAL AMENITIES: Your rental will be serviced for our weekly guests as follows: Hair dryer in bathroom, 4 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, 1 bar of soap for each shower, 1 container of soft soap at sink, 3 bath towels per person and 2 beach towels per person, 2 rolls of paper towels in the kitchen, salt and pepper, 1 bag of coffee, dry creamer, sugar, assorted teas, tin foil. The maid can replenish the towels at mid-week cleaning.

MAID SERVICE: We provide Mid-week Maid Service for our 7-day, weekly guests with cleaning floors and change of towels included in the rental rate. Guests staying past the 7th day will receive a total cleaning on the 7th day for: change of linens and towels, cleaning floors/replenish supplies. If you would like additional cleaning services on a daily basis, please request this service at time of reservation or with the Manager. It will be billed at $20 per day.

LAUNDRY SERVICE: For personal items, is offered at an extra charge of $20 per load and you can pay the service provider. This fee covers labor, soap and electric.

​

CHECK-IN / CHECK OUT: Check in time is 1:30pm.  Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. There can be flexibility if there are no prior guests leaving or no other arriving the same day; however there is no guaranteed check-in prior to 1:30pm or check-out after 10:00am.  We appreciate your cooperation with these policies when rentals need to be cleaned and ready for the next guests arrival.

 

ELECTRICITY / INTERNET / CABLE TV: Infrastructure on the island of Roatan is not first world.  Please be advised that Casa de Paradise can not be held responsible for problems arising from outside service providers.  Every effort will be made to deal with these outside service providers to solve any problems that may arise in a timely fashion; however no rebates or refunds will be given for lack of service that are beyond our control.

PETS: Pets are not allowed.

​

DRINKING WATER: 5-gal container with up to 2 FREE additional refills for our 7-day guests. REPLACEMENT BOTTLES: please pick one up between our 2 beach houses. Do not use the tap water for cooking or drinking. Tap water is treated and filtered well water.

 

SMOKING: No smoking inside the rental, please.  If non-smoking house policies are violated a $250 cleaning damage charge will be taken from security deposit.

 

BBQ: There is a common BBQ for our guests. Please keep the grill clean and tidy and turn off the propane when finished.

LOST ITEMS: Casa de Paradise is not responsible for lost or misplaced personal items.  However, if notified and found within a reasonable amount of time we will ship items at the guests expense. Keep all your valuables in the safe provided. Always lock doors and windows.  Do not leave your valuables unattended on the beach.

 

KEYS / REMOTES / PHONE / KAYAK: Keys @$25 each, remotes or cell phone @$50 each, Kayak @$500 each.

 

REPAIR or BREAKAGE: damages by guests to rental unit interior contents/or rental property shall be assessed for billing to be paid at check-out review.

PROBLEMS AND CONCERNS: Although every effort is made to maintain all rental in good order, wear and tear on a rentals is unavoidable.  Please notify any problem to the on-site Manager. There is a day person working Monday - Saturday from 8am to 4pm. You will receive the Manager’s contact information with phone number at your check-in.  Every effort will be made to rectify any problem in a timely manner.  Please keep in mind that Roatan like many small island is without ready access to many goods and services that are available in the United States, Canada and Europe.

 

CLEANING FEE: Property shall be left in good order as you received it to receive your $100 departure cleaning fee. Please place trash daily/nightly in the community trash containers by driveway. At departure, please remove linens & towels and place in shower, wash dishes and sweep the floors. Remember your passport and items in your safe.

​

BEACH LOUNGERS: Are provided in our designated beach lounging area on the West Bay Beach. Please return them to this safe area if you move them closer to the water. Thank you.

​

Electricity is generated on the island and is very expensive $.50 per kwh as compared to $.07/.09 for USA/Canada per kwh. Please help us conserve electricity by turning off your air conditioner and lights when leaving the rental unit. If you need to use it during the day, please regard the rules and pay for day usage and living room usage as specified below.

AIR CONDITIONING: FREE "nightly" a/c from 5pm to 9am in each bedroom.

 

BEDROOM “DAYTIME” AIR CONDITIONING: is $25 usage fee for each unit from 9am to 5pm in each bedroom. You can request this additional service after arriving and pay the Manager for this extra service, or pay at your check-out review.

 

LIVING ROOM “DAY” AIR CONDITIONING: (when applicable) is $25 usage fee for each unit from 9am to 5pm. You can request this additional service and receive the remote if you need it after arriving and pay the Manage for this extra service or pay at your check-out review.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: Guest agrees to indemnify Casa de Paradise, its employees free and harmless from any claim or liability for any loss or damage what so every arising from or in connection with the rental including but not limited to any claim or liability for personal injury or damage or loss of property which is made incurred or sustained by guest or any guest visitors.  This also includes any common areas that the property may have or connected as well as rental equipment or transportation ordered through Casa de Paradise employees for guests use.

 

OTHER SERVICES: Fees may apply if additional services are requested.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE: For 1-4 persons the rate is $30 + $5 for each additional person. ADD $10 for a grocery store stop. It takes 30 minutes from grocery store to West Bay Beach. Island Tours are available with your provider, ask at time of airport pick up.

 

GALAXY WAVE SHUTTLE SERVICE: Ferry Service from mainland is same price as Airport Shuttle Service.

 

WIFI: Free for our guests; password received at check in. Please do not make large downloads or use for gaming. 

 

LOCAL CELL PHONE: A cell phone is provided for each rental. Roatan has pay-as-you-go service. The call to other Tigo cell customers is usually free and it is $.02 per minute for USA/Canada calls. There will be 50 Lempira ($2.50) of minutes on phone at check in. If you need to purchase more minutes, it is available at Capt. Van's Store at the West Bay Mall. (walk on beach to the LEFT, turn left past Bananarama Resort, short walk to main road and West Bay Mall, left)
